Research - Recurring theme in British artists' music videos

I had been looking at music videos by British artists over the couple of days and found that some of them are usually American styled such as having diners in them or doing activities popular in America. This could be due to wanting to make it worldwide so they appeal to the US demographic rather than the UK.

They are shown in a typical american diner rather than using a location in Britain.

Cher Lloyd - Oath
Cher Lloyd is also in a diner and shown in a american highschool, similar to what we see in movies or on TV.

Marina and the diamonds - Primadonna
Her costume is similar to the 1950s stepford wives style, as her hair is curled up or she wears it down with a ribbon, her dresses have a similar checkered, pink style and she is also wearing a glitzy hollywood style dress.
