During the course of the AS year, the coursework was based on creating my very own thriller film. Whilst creating this thriller, as the weeks went on my technical skills began to develop. I learnt new things and how to use certain equipment in order to create a interesting looking thrill. There were many important things I learnt over the course of the AS year, this includes;
-How to use Final Cut Pro accurately
-How to use Sound Cut Pro
-How to use "Motion" (For production and distribution)
-How to use the JVC cameras
-How to use the flip cameras and still cameras
-How to use the video drives and memory cards
-How to use camtasia
-How to use MPEG stream clip
-How to use Foley sound
-How to edit effectively
We then created a prelim music video at the end of AS, which has helped me to understand what makes a music video successful and what doesn't. I learnt that using base tracks makes the music video look more realistic and helps to keep the audience engaged as it looks good on screen. In addition I also learnt how to add the sound and music into the final edit of the prelim music video.
